The Argan tree is a flowering plant that grows in the Southwest Morocco only. Once the tree is around 50 year old, it starts producing the fruits that give the liquid gold, Argan oil. The fruits look like an almond in the start. They are handpicked, sun dried, then hand cracked in order to have access to the precious seeds (also called kernels).
The kernels are taken to Gift Morocco workshop to be cold pressed in order to get the premium quality of cosmetic Argan oil (also called unroasted Argan oil). For the culinary Argan oil (also called roasted or edible Argan oil), the seeds are first meticulously toasted then pressed.
The Argan oil contains high levels of tocopherols (vitamin E), phenols, carotenes, squalene, and fatty acids, (80% unsaturated fatty acids). All these give the Argan oil nourishing, moisturizing, healing and repairing properties.
The Argan oil can be used on hair, skin and nails. The Argan oil can also be used as a massage oil or in a hot bath.
